My husband "A" and I went to at least 13 weddings in the past year and a half, not including our own. I have to say, it's been a great way to spend a weekend almost once a month. We had three in September 2007! Thought weddings can be expensive, bridal shower, wedding gifts, new clothes, after parties- they are tons of fun. It's so nice to be able to get together with your closest friends and family and just party. We went to the last wedding of our wedding season this past weekend. No more weddings until November. Including the drinks before the wedding at the bar nearby and drinks back at our house after the 'after party,' I think we partied for almost 12 hours. It was a great way to spend the weekend. I'm almost sad that there aren't any more weddings any time soon. It just means we have to find an excuse to get together to eat, drink, and dance. I'll leave you with some pictures from the wedding.
